Director’s Biography
Dr. Dipanwita Sengupta is a trained classic dancer and learnt Creative dance from Guru Shri Kohinoor Sen Barat which is popularly known as Shankar Style of Dance. She is the founder of Dipanwita Sengupta Performing Arts Academy, through which she mentors’ students of various age group and aims to uphold the creative dance form which has the inherent grammar of classical Indian dance yet is innovative & contemporary. She has performed, directed and choreographed in many programs in India and across multiple states of United States.

Synopsis
This is a 2-Act dance drama. The first act – Asatoma Sadgamaya, highlights the journey which leads mankind to a path of truth from ignorance, to light from darkness, to immortality from death and explores the path to Freedom where there are no possessions, no need for greed or hunger and all the people live as one. Through this act we finally celebrate the brotherhood of humanity in a new world of peace and love.
The second act – Voice of the silenced Women - attempts to raise the voice on behalf of all the women who face any kind of violence in different parts of the world. Whether it’s foretelling political doom or coming forward with sexual-assault allegations, women's voices fall on deaf ears. This act is dedicated to all the Nirbhaya’s (Fearless Women) around the world. Cheers to womanhood and humanity.
